The model is not the product
The lazy 2026 AI plan is still alive: buy a tool, tell the team to go faster, call it transformation. Lance Dacyโs line is better: you are not becoming AI-native. You are speeding up existing dysfunction. Painfully efficiently.
That is the real agent story. Not whether the model can write code, draft a ticket, or summarize a spec. It can. Great. So can an overeager junior contractor with admin access and no context. The question is whether the organization can see, constrain, verify, and govern the work before it hits production.
